High-majors on Alabama sleeper

Chris Hines of Hillcrest Evergreen (Ala.) High School capped off a stellar senior season with a MVP performance and 4A state championship. Hines, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward, is beginning to surface as a target for a number of high-majors.
"I'm getting interest from Alabama, Miami, Indiana, Stanford, Auburn, UAB and others," said Hines. "Now that the season is over, I'll set up some visits. I'm still not sure where, though.

"When I do visit, I'll be looking at how many students are in the classes and what kind of graduation rate the program has. A good relationship with the coach is also important."
A very good athlete who can attack the basket and finish with either hand, Hines also passes the ball very well. Although he does not have any glaring weaknesses, he does have room for improving his shooting range and perimeter defense.
"I want to work on my ball handling, especially my left hand, before I go to college," he said. "I'm also going to stay in the weight room and try to put on 15 more pounds.
"This was a great way to end my high school career, but I'm looking forward to college."
Hines averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds per game this season.
