High Majors Love Theo Davis
The list keeps expanding for 2005 recruit
Theo Davis, 6-foot-9 and 220-pounds from Cardozo High School in Bayside, New York. Many head coaches and assistants have made the trip across the country to show their interest in one of the best players in the junior class.
"Everyone's interested right now," said head coach Ron Naclerio. "He has a chance to be a great college player."
Davis comes from Father Henry Carr High School in Toronto. He has the ability to block shots and grab rebounds. Davis also does an effective job of cleaning up offensive rebounds. Davis is likely to make his living in the paint and from about four-six feet away from the basket.
Naclerio always presses his players to run hard for the entire game. So it's likely Davis will polish his transitional skills while at Cardozo.
UCLA, Syracuse, Texas, Iowa State, Ohio State, Memphis, Pittsburgh, and Connecticut are just a few schools showing interest. If Davis continues to have a great year, Naclerio's phone will likely ring consistently over the next year.
Last July Davis competed at the ABCD camp in Teaneck, New Jersey. It's likely Davis will be at some major sneaker camp in July again.
