High Majors Interested In Holland

Justin Holland, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound point guard from Landmark Christian School in Atlanta, GA., believes he is one of the better floor generals in the class of 2005, now he is ready to prove it. Holland plans to display his skills during the Beach Ball Classic and the Dell Curry Invitational.
“Oh yea, Justin is a very special player for us,” Landmark Christian Head Coach Bryan Bartley said. “He is averaging 14 points and four assists so far this year. Justin is better suited for the point guard position, but he certainly has the skills to play the shooting guard position as well.

“As talented as Justin is, he still has plenty to improve upon,” he added. “His time management on the court is good, but he needs to become more vocal and he needs to learn how to take the momentum of the game when that opportunity arises. Justin spent the summer working with Kenny Anderson, which has been a big help, but he still must improve his game in some areas.”
While Holland is still in the process of fine-tuning his point guard skills, a number of high major schools are starting to inquire about the Georgia native. He has already taken one unofficial visits and plans to use all five official visits when that time comes.
“Georgia, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wake Forest, George Mason and Middle Tennessee State are showing the most interest right now,” Bartley said. “Justin has already taken an unofficial visit to Ohio State and he really enjoyed that trip. Missouri plans to come out and watch him practice in the future, so he is going to have plenty of options when it comes to attending a college.
“Justin is receiving interest from quite a few schools, but he is really open right now when it comes to his recruitment,” he added. “Once other coaches’ see him play, I’m sure more schools will get involved in his recruitment.”
Aside from participating in the Beach Ball Classic (December) and the Dell Curry Invitational (January), the January 30 game between Landmark Christian and SW Atlanta Christian can be seen on ESPN at 8:00.
