High-majors calling on 2007 Chapman

Clint Chapman is still in the early stages of his recruitment, but several schools are beginning to make an impression on the 6-foot-10, 245-pound center from Canby (OR) High School. Two schools have already dropped by the high school to get a closer look at Chapman.
"I am receiving the most interest from Portland State, Wyoming, Virginia, Utah, San Diego, Colorado State and Arizona State," said Chapman. "Virginia and Portland State have been by the school to see me. A couple of other schools have talked about coming by, but nothing has been planned yet.

"I have not taken any unofficial visits either," he added. "I just want to focus on the upcoming season and then take some official visits after that. I would like to use all five official visits after the season is complete."
Chapman indicated that practice just started earlier last week. He and the rest of his Canby High School teammates are looking forward to the upcoming season.
"We just started practice earlier in the week and everything is going good so far," said Chapman. "We should have a pretty good team this year and I am looking forward to the start of the season.
"I believe the first game of the year is on December 2," he added. "For me, the season cannot begin soon enough. "I am really looking forward to having a big year this year. I am also looking forward to enjoying the season with my teammates."
