Josh Higgins, a 6-11, 300 pound center, who helped All-Ohio Red win the prestigious Peach Jam title this past July with his rebounding and physical presence in the paint, committed to Western Kentucky.
Higgins wasn't a dominant factor in every game, but with his size and strength, Higgins was hard for opponents to ignore. He also had some bright moments at the Super Showcase and AAU Nationals in late July.

Higgins also considered Washington, Minnesota, Illinois State, Evansville, and Bowling Green. He took a trip to Western Kentucky last weekend.
"The coaches are great there, coach Felton and all the assistants," Higgins said. "The players are great. It's a winning team. They are doing great stuff with the arena and university. The president, the athletic director, the community backs the basketball team. It's a great place to play."
"I visited there last weekend and I loved it," Higgins added.
Higgins had also taken unofficial visits to programs such as Bowling Green, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Dayton, although the two ACC programs mentioned were not involved in July.
This past season at Vandalia Butler (just outside of Dayton), Higgins averaged 15 points, nine rebounds and four blocks per game. He said he has a 3.1 GPA and scored a 21 on the ACT.
