Hernandez to Fresno State

Hector Hernandez from Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, Colorado enjoyed his visit to Fresno State so much the 6-foot-8 combo forward committed to the Bulldogs when he got home.
“The visit was great,” said Hernandez, the No. 23 power forward and No. 82 player in the Rivals150. “I committed with them when I got back home. I am excited about it. I want to finish high school and then see what happens.”

Hernandez previously visited Portland State and has cancelled scheduled visits to Iowa State, South Alabama, and Creighton.
Hernandez, originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, continued speaking highly of Fresno State.
“I like the coach and the team, how they worked. They worked hard,” he said. “I liked the city, the campus, everything.”
Hernandez is extremely mobile and versatile for a big man. He is most effective facing the basket at the three point line.
