Six-foot-10 center Schnider Herard has completed official visits to Kansas, Mississippi State, Purdue and Texas Tech. A native of Haiti who attends Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian, Herard is a bruising and tough back-to-the-basket center who plays with power in the lane.
WHAT'S NEXT?: With all of his visits out of the way, Herard will announce his college plans on Nov. 4.
A week from today I'll announce where I wanna go to college, What a dream for me 👌🏾 #jayhawk #GunsUp #BoilerUp #HailState #HaitianSensation— Halfman_Halfbeast (@Scutt_herard) October 28, 2015
IN THE WORDS OF GUARDIAN DERRICK SHELBY: "Schnider has taken all of the visits that he needs and has the information to go ahead and make a decision. He talked about maybe doing a fifth visit but he doesn't need it."
RIVALS' REACTION: For much of Herard's recruitment, Bill Self and the Jayhawks were considered to be the leader, but the winds of change look to be blowing on this one.
Most recently, Ben Howland and Mississippi State have been generating a strong behind-the-scenes buzz. The Herard camp isn't tipping its hand on any lean, but heading into the decision, it feels like the Bulldogs are most likely the team to beat for Herard's services.
