Henson Adds To 2002-03 Roster

New Mexico State men's basketball coach Lou Henson (right) announced yesterday that junior college swingman Gary Jackson will walk-on with the Aggies this fall.
Jackson, a 6-5, 215 pound forward from Roswell, NM, spent the last two season at Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas.

He averaged 13.3 points per contest as a sophomore, while leading the team in rebounding average with 6.1. Jackson also led his team in field goal percentage with 54 percent on the season, as he collected 40 assists, three blocks and 29 steals.
Jackson was also named to the All-Jayhawk East Conference Third-Team. As a freshman, he averaged 12 points and five rebounds a game.
Jackson is the second New Mexico native junior college player who has agreed to walk-on for Henson for the upcoming season. Allen Haynes, a 6-1 shooting guard from South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, earlier announced his attentions to join the Aggies.
