Heard Has High Offer
One of the better players from the talented Illinois Warriors program this summer was 6-6, 205-pound forward Marcus Heard, who also plays high school ball for Springfield Southeast.
Heard is a solid player, who can take the ball to the basket aggressively. He also possesses a soft touch from the outside, giving him a nice balance in his game.

"I am working on my ballhandling and shooting," Heard said. "I want to get stronger too. I am going to lift weights when I am done in the summer."
Heard told us he is open but has an offer from DePaul, a school that is trying to establish some recruiting ties now that a coaching change has been made. Heard would be an important recruit for DePaul since he is a hard worker and would add value to any team with his skills.
"I plan on making a fall decision," Heard said. "I just have to see who is interested when I get done playing this summer."
