Healthy list of suitors for Gonzalez

Three-star point guard Javi Gonzalez made a splash on the travel circuit this summer. The 6-foot, 170-pound point guard from Dr. Krop High School in Miami, Fla., bypassed the early signing period and will have a number of options when the late signing period swings around.
"Javi just wasn't ready to sign early," said Gonzalez's travel team coach Art Alvarez. "He hasn't even taken a visit yet.

"Coach Bennett at Washington State absolutely loves him. VCU, Duquesne, SMU and South Florida have also offered. Javi is also getting strong interest from Utah, BYU and James Madison."
Gonzalez, who is playing well early on in the season according to Coach Alvarez, went for over 20 points against a talented Pace High School squad.
Javi Gonzalez scouting report:
Javi is a talented offensive player. He has the ball handling skills and quickness to consistently create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. He also shoots it well from three. Quick of foot, he does need to get stronger to get it done on the defensive side of the ball on the high-major level.
