Head Coaches flock to see Harris

Things have been busy at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers (IN). Head coaches from all around the Midwest have been in to see 2012 wing Gary Harris. Harris worked out for some of the top names in the business, and has a new offer to show for it.
At 6-foot-4 and about 180 pounds, Harris passes the look test on the floor, and over the past week a lot of coaches have been by to see him workout. Harris hosted packed open gyms at his school three times in the past six days, and a lot of high powered eyes have been on him.

According to Harris, head coaches from Butler, Cincinnati, Illinois, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Purdue, Vanderbilt, and Xavier all dropped by.
Also assistant coaches from Indiana and Michigan made their way through the gym to check in on Harris.
For Harris all the visitors have made for some tense, but exciting times.
"Oh man it has all been crazy, but I am loving it all," said Harris. "This is a process you only get to go through one time, so I am enjoying it all."
Things have happened quick for Harris. Though he already held offers from schools such as Illinois, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, and Xavier before hand, still many people hadn't had a chance to see him play.
"I didn't think it would all happen this fast," said Harris of the interest explosion. "Everything blew up here over the last week or so, but hey I am definitely enjoying it."
While the coaches could only watch Harris workout, and they weren't able to speak with him directly at the gym, he says that the comments have been glowing about his play.
"The coaches, they said I did really good," Harris explained. "They just told me that I need to get on campus, and that they want me to visit. They were just telling me that I did real good in the workouts."
For one school they saw enough to offer him only hours after leaving the school.
"I just got an offer from Cincinnati tonight," said Harris. "It was an honor to have a team in the Big East offer me."
Harris is on the AAU circuit with the D3 Heat team, and they got off to an impressive start by winning the Motown Showdown two weeks ago.
"As a team we have been playing really good," said Harris. "We went up to Detroit two weekends ago and played up with the 17 and unders, and we won it all. We played some decent teams up there, and I think we played real well. We want to do it again and play well at LeBron this weekend."
While Harris will be showing off his skills at the LeBron James Shooting Stars Classic this weekend in Akron, Ohio, soon he will be back home and he says that he is about to think seriously about his recruitment.
"That is coming soon," said Harris when asked when he plans on breaking down his list. "It is about time for me to really start thinking about where I am going to go, so that is coming soon. I am going to begin to sit down and really look at it all."
