Hayes Takes Visit

Brannon Hayes, a bouncy 6-9, 205 pound power forward from Lee J.C. in Baytown, Tex., took an official visit to Southern Mississippi this past weekend.
Hayes visited Southern Miss from Oct. 19-21, leaving for his trip after the Running Rebels played their last game on Saturday at the Mullen/Mitchell Dallas Jamboree in Texas.

Hayes sat out at Lee in 2001-2002 after playing as a freshman at Texas Tech University of the Big 12. When Bob Knight arrived in Lubbock a year and a half ago, Hayes was one of several players who sought a new home.
A live bodied forward who is effective on the offensive glass, Hayes also showed a penchant for facing the basket at this past weekend's jamboree in Dallas.
"Offensively, he's a very versatile player," Lee Head Coach Roy Champagne said. "He needs to be a little more fluid in his decision making, and develop a better feel for the game."
Champagne said he expects Hayes to sign in the spring, but should he opt to make an early decision, Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted. Stay tuned!
