Hawgs score second in-stater for 2013

One of the most improved players in the class of 2013 over the last nine months is Bobby Portis. Now, the rising junior is off the market.
Saturday, during an unofficial visit, the 6-foot-9 center committed to Arkansas.

A long and thin big man from Little Rock (Ark.) Hall, Portis has come a long way in the last nine months.
Rivals.com first had the chance to view him back in late November and while he had size, he struggled to impact the game much and seemed unsure of himself.
During July, though, Portis was a totally changed player. He's become comfortable with his body, blocks lots of shots, takes care of the glass and runs the floor much better. Portis has also got a pretty good pair of hands and has developed into a pretty good finisher around the rim.
Currently rated as a three-star prospect, Portis joins a class that already includes in-state four-star Dederick Lee.
