Big East basketball fans got hit with a big piece of recruiting news from the class of 2006 on Friday.
HaSheem Thabeet, a 7-foot-2, 245-pound senior from Houston, committed to Connecticut over Cincinnati and Louisville earlier this morning. He made official visits to all three programs in the last three months.
