Harwell Changes List

Reggie Harwell, a 6-5, 193 pound shooting guard from Villa Angela St. Joseph's H.S. in Cleveland, Ohio, cut his list of schools from 11 to nine with more top Division I programs in the mix.
"The schools I'm interested in are Tennessee, Cincinnati, Kent State, Iowa, Memphis, Clemson, West Virginia and Virginia," he said. "I've visited Toledo and Dayton. Dayton is still on that list." Most of the Ohio schools (Ohio State, Akron, Bowling Green, Ohio University, Toledo and Cleveland State) dropped off while Clemson, Iowa, and Memphis are now involved.

Harwell competed with the Cleveland Basketball Club at the adidas Big Time Tournament last month. Mike Duncan's squad was 8-2 at that event losing to the Minuteman Press in the quarterfinals of the bracket won by the Michigan Hurricanes.
Harwell said he averaged 20 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block last season. (He had told RivalsHoops.com's Russ Blake at the ABCD camp that he had five rebounds and six assists - not much of a change there.)
He said he didn't attend the Five Star Pitt II camp but did participate in the Best of Summer. That's it until the high school season gets underway.
This summer he's been focusing on improving his defense and working to get stronger. Harwell, who has yet to take the SAT, said he plans on majoring in business management.
