Harvey ready to visit Big East school

After taking an official visit to Southern California this past weekend, Eugene Harvey is ready to take the next step in his recruitment. The 6-foot-0, 165-pound point guard from St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J., is scheduled to take an official visit to a school that is located in the Big East.
"I took a visit to USC last weekend," said Harvey. "The visit was pretty good and things went well. I guess you can say that the coaching staff hosted me for the trip, but I hung out with all of the players as well.

"The campus and environment were very nice," he added. "The weather and the people were great. It was nice to hangout with the players and coaches. It was also nice to get a tour of the campus and to be able to check some things out."
Harvey, the three-star prospect, is looking forward to taking his second official visit of the year. According to the 6-foot-0 point guard, he and Lance Thomas, the No, 27 ranked player in the class of 2006, will be taking visit to Rutgers this weekend.
"Lance Thomas and I are taking an official visit to Rutgers this weekend," said Harvey. "Lance and I are really looking forward to the trip. You know, I am wide-open right now and don't have any favorites, but I would also like to visit Connecticut, Illinois, Georgia Tech and possibly a couple of other schools.
"I would like to take all five visits, but if I like what I see after a couple of visits, I will commit to the school that I like," he added. "If I come away from a visit really impressed with what I saw, I will commit to that school."
