Harris to ACC

A standout on the Friends of Hoop travel team, Joe Harris of Chelan (Wash.) High School will take his game to the ACC.
Virginia coach Tony Bennett loved what he saw in Harris, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard during the month of July, and now Bennett will have the opportunity to coach Harris.

"Joe called Coach Bennett today and committed," said Harris' father and high school coach Joe Harris, Sr. "He's really excited and feels great about his relationship with Coach Bennett and the assistant coaches. He's looking forward to playing and competing in the ACC."
Harris participated in Virginia's elite camp in June and was impressed with the campus. At the camp, he earned an offer from Virginia.
Harris chose the Cavaliers over Washington State and San Diego. He joins fellow three-star prospect Will Regan in Virginia's 2009 recruiting class.
He is a highly skilled wing who can play both as a primary scorer and a facilitator with his passing skills.
