Harper Takes Early Trip

Alexander Harper, a 6-3, 190 pound point guard from Palm Beach C.C. in Lake Worth, Fla., took an official visit to Virginia Commonwealth from Oct. 18-20.
A product of Keenan H.S. in Columbia S.C. and the younger brother of Iowa State junior Jerome Harper, Alexander is also being courted by New Orleans and UNC-Wilmington, according to PBCC Head Coach Stephen Bernath.

Alexander Harper sat out at Indian Hills C.C. in Ottumwa, Ia., last year, where his brother played for two years before committing to Iowa State. As a result, he will have three years to play on the Division I level.
"Alexander is a solid point guard who makes other players better," Bernath said. "He's a good defender and athlete who is working on improving his outside shot."
Unlike his older brother, Alexander Harper was a full academic qualifier out of high school, according to Bernath.
Rivalshoops.com will stay on top of Harper's situation, and should he opt to make an early decision, we will pass the information along via an article.
