Harkless sets up first round of visits

Thanks to a huge run during the month of July, Maurice Harkless has emerged as one of the top wings in the country. Playing with the New York Panthers, the 6-foot-6 wing attracted a slew of coaches everywhere he went. Now, he's in the process of setting up visits.
Currently ranked #86 nationally in the class of 2011, Harkless will be moving up the rankings when they are updated. The NYC native who will be spending his final high school year at South Kent (Conn.) Prep will also be on the move for a round of visits starting soon.

"(I've scheduled) unnoficials for September 2nd at St. John's, September 4th to Rutgers and September 5th to Maryland," Harkless told Rivals.com. "Official visit to Oregon on September 17th."
A talented wing who can handle the ball, get others involved and slash to the rim, Harkless is also a much improved shooter. Currently, he's got no time frame put in place for making a decision and will likely be scheduling another round of visits in the near future.
Other schools under consideration include Connecticut (where he originally committed), Florida, Florida State, Cincinnati, Seton Hall, Virginia, Memphis and others.
