Harden Will Play in Big East
Leonard Harden, a 6-9, 240 pound center/power forward from Garden City C.C. in Garden City, Kan., committed to Miami (FL) today.
Garden City Head Coach Earl Diddle said that Harden picked Miami over Pittsburgh. He took official visits to that pair this fall plus UNLV, Texas A&M and Auburn, which rounded out his final five.

"Pitt had gotten some earlier commitments from really good players, while I think Miami loses their entire front line," Diddle said. "It was really a photo finish."
A native of Detroit, Harden took his final official visit to Miami last weekend (Sept. 27-29). He spent every weekend in September taking official trips, and it appears as though the final visit in this process did the trick.
One of the better returning big men in junior college basketball, Harden is expected to sign with the Hurricanes in November.
