Hanson off the board

UC-Davis picked up a nice commitment from Shane Hanson of Temescal Canyon High School in Canyon Lake, Calif. The 6-foot-7, 185-pound wing player had heavy interest from a number of high-majors, including offers.

Claiming offers from Stanford, Wyoming, South Florida, University of Miami, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Kansas State and Boise State, Hanson praised UC-Davis in a press release.

"The UC-Davis campus, facilities, college town, academic reputation, and student-athletes and staff are incredible," said Hanson. "I have been on many college campuses, however, when I saw UC-Davis, I realized how BIG TIME it is!!! The relationship that I have built with Coach Stewart and assistant coach, Bobby Steinburg over the past year definitely put it over the top."
