Hampton adds size over the weekend
New Hampton head coach Kevin Nickleberry and his staff wasted little time rounding up talent for the MEAC school. The Pirates inked a trio of big men over the weekend.
Matt Pilgrim, a 6-foot-7 forward from Cincinnati by way of Bridgton (Me.) Academy, picked Hampton over interest from Cleveland State and Saint Louis. Pilgrim is a big sign for the new Hampton staff in large part to the other forwards that inked with the Pirates.

Oluwaseyi Oseni, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound center from Rochester, N.Y., also joined the 2006 recruiting class. The big man, paired with Pilgrim and Mike Freeman, a former USC signee, give Nickleberry and company a formidable frontline.
Also joining the class over the weekend is Florida native Theo Smalling, a 6-foot-7 forward from Brandon High School.
