Hamilton Shows Strength In Paint

One of the more encouraging signs for Bridgton Academy this year has been the recent play of center/power forward Lamont Hamilton, who transferred into Whit Lesure's program after Milford Academy went under.
RivalsHoops.com watched Hamilton last Friday night at the St. Thomas More tournament in Montville, Connecticut. Hamilton had a great second half and did a nice job on the boards too. Lamont, who has already committed to St. John's, scored 11 points, most of these in the second half when Bridgton was being challenged by Maine Central Institute.

"He did a great job in the second half for us," Lesure said after the big win. "He scored some tough baskets. He's working hard. It takes some time to get used to the other players. But we are very happy to have him."
Hamilton also hit a big three-point play late in the game. "He is big and strong," Lesure said. "He moves pretty well inside. He's going to be a good college basketball player. St. John's will be happy to have him."
