Hamilton Is Nice Pickup

Lamont Hamilton, a 6-9, 225-pound forward/center from Milford Academy in Connecticut, is going to be a very good player in the Big East for head coach Mike Jarvis.
"Lamont is one of the best inside players in the 2003 class," said his AAU coach, Gary Charles of the Long Island Panthers. "We are excited to have him playing for us this year."

The Panthers plan on playing in Providence on April 5th, Philadelphia on April 12th and in Connecticut on April 19th. "Lamont can do a lot of things," Charles said. "He can block shots. He can rebound. He can score on low post moves."
Rivalshoops.com watched Hamilton play many times over the past year. Each time, our reporters were impressed with Hamilton's progress.
Hamilton will be able to score some points on putbacks for St. John's and he also has progressed nicely under coach Bob Riggio at Milford Academy. So it's reasonable to assume we have yet to see the best from Hamilton in his individual game. Riggio is one of the best in installing discipline within a player's game.
