Hamilton Has Major Offer

Vernon Hamilton, a solidly built 6-1, 185-point guard from Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia, showed good strength and penetrating ability at the ABCD camp en route to an invitation to the camp's all-star game.
Hamilton handles well with both hands and is comfortable darting to the rim off the dribble going left or right. He possesses a quick first step and a solid frame that aids him on drives. Hamilton is quick to the hole and fast in the open floor. He sports a rainbow jumper that doesn't have the quickest release, but fell when we saw him.

Hamilton has heard thus far from NC State, Florida State, Georgia, West Virginia, and DePaul. West Virginia has offered. No doubt John Belein and his staff became familiar with Hamilton during their tenure at the University of Richmond.
Hamilton plans on taking some trips this fall.
"I'm definitely going to take some visits in September," said Hamilton. "I'm going to take all five visits."
Hamilton will attend the Three Stripes camp at Hofstra and the Vegas Big Time Tournament with the Richmond Squires. Vernon is also partcipating in a Pro-Am League in Richmond.
Hamilton, who averaged 17 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals this past high school season, carries a 3.2 GPA in the classroom. He will take the SAT for the first time in October.
