Hall Plans To Keep All Options Open

With his junior year of basketball complete, Corey Hall has spent the last week looking towards the future. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound point guard from DeSoto High School in DeSoto, TX., also happens to play free safety on the football team, so if the opportunity to play both sports at the collegiate level arises, Hall would consider playing both basketball and football.
“Oh yea, I would definitely consider playing both sports in college,” Hall said. “I am going to keep all of my options open and would love to do whatever is possible. Arkansas, Kansas State, LSU, Northwestern, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M are the schools recruiting me for football.

“Marquette, Wichita State and Stanford are showing me the most interest when it comes to the schools interested in my basketball skills,” he added. “Wichita State probably sends the most information, but I just recently sent my transcript to Stanford, so hopefully I will be hearing back from them. I have a 4.5 GPA and all but one of my classes this semester is an honors class. I plan to take the SAT in March and the ACT in April.”
If Hall has the opportunity to play both sports in college, he will do just that. But if the 5-foot-11 point guard/safety has to make a decision about one or the other, he admits that basketball is his first love.
“I would definitely say that basketball is my first love,” Hall said. “I really enjoy playing both sports, but basketball is the game that I really love. Again, I am going to keep all of my options open when it comes to playing both sports in college, but I don’t think I could make it without basketball.”
