>By just about any measure, it was a pretty good weekend for new Missouri head coach Frank Haith and his staff. A weekend that started with a commitment from Tyrek Coger on Saturday ended with one from Ishmail Wainright on Sunday.
He cited several reasons for making his pick but it was mostly about them making a local kid a priority.
"The love Mizzou shows, hometown love," Wainright texted Rivals.com. "The coaching staff is great."
A four-star prospect, Wainright is an important recruit for Haith and his staff. The long armed wing is one of the top young local prospects and the Tigers were able to end things before too much of a recruiting battle could occur.
Saturday night, Coger decided that he had seen enough of Columbia to commit as well. A 6-foot-7 power forward from Raleigh (N.C.) Upper Room Christian, Coger is a strong interior player.
