Hairston To Unofficially Visit Michigan

Just when it looked like Malik Hairston was nearing the final stages of his recruitment, a new development has occurred. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard/small forward from Renaissance High School in Detroit, MI., has decided to take an unofficial visit to Michigan on Sunday. Richard Hairston, the father of Malik Hairston, spoke to RivalsHoops.com about the newest development. While it appears that Michigan is the team to beat, that is not necessarily the case.
“Yes, we have decided to drive to Ann Arbor on Sunday for an unofficial visit,” Richard Hairston told RivalsHoops.com. “Malik will return from his visit to Oklahoma on Saturday, so we drive up on Sunday to meet with the coaching staff. This will be the final stage in the process. I can tell you that no decision has been made just yet.

“After looking over all of the schools involved in Malik’s recruitment, we feel that Kansas, Michigan and UCLA are the three schools that Malik would fit in best at," he added. "None of the schools have been eliminated, but after going over all the positives and negatives, those three standout the most.”
Rivals.com ranks Hairston No. 7 on the Rivals150 list and the second best shooting guard in the class of 2004.
