Hairston Talks About Recruiting

Malik Hairston, an outstanding swingman from The Family AAU team, had a terrific Super Showcase last week. Hairston showed why he should be ranked so high. He had several big games offensively and led the Family to the final of the Super Showcase.

Many programs followed Hairston around throughout the four-day event. Staffs from Ohio State, Connecticut, Kentucky, Kansas, Cincinnati, UCLA, Michigan, and Michigan State were on hand to watch Hairston’s brilliant performances. “Ohio State, Kansas, Michigan State, Uconn, UCLA, Michigan and Kentucky are some of the schools I like a lot," Hairston said.

Indiana, Missouri, and Purdue had been mentioned previously by Hairston. "I am still open," Hairston said. "When I get back home I will look at my list again."

Hairston has a quick first step to the basket. He seems to gather in many rebounds which lead to put backs in the paint for him. He can score points in bunches too. His mid-range game is improving.

Hairston has visited three schools – Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State. Hairston praised all three visits.
