Hairston Still Thinking About Visits

It has been reported that Malik Hairston, has scheduled official visits to UCLA and Ohio State, but it appears that is not the case. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Renaissance High School in Detroit, MI., is still in the process of scheduling his official visits, but nothing has been decided upon as of yet.
There is still a possibility that Hairston could take his official visit to Kansas on the weekend of September 5, which is shaping up to be a big weekend for the coaching staff.

“I have not scheduled any official visits yet,” Hairston said. “I think my dad might have talked with the coaches from UCLA and Ohio State, but nothing is set. August 30 is the weekend of my mother’s birthday, so I do not want to miss that.
“Ohio State and Kansas are trying to get me in for a visit on the same weekend, so I haven’t decided what school I will visit at that time,” he added. “I can tell you that nothing has been planned for the weekend of September 5. I don’t know what school I will visit that weekend."
The recruiting battle for Hairston will be extremely intense. Not many players from the class of 2004 performed better than he did, so he has become one of the very best players in the class.
It doesn’t matter if Hairston is scoring from the outside or putting the ball on the floor and penetrating to the basket, he can simply do it all. He is one of most competitive players in the class and plays the game with a lot if intensity.
There was a time early in the summer when Hairston had a tendency to roam around the perimeter too much, but once he realized how dangerous he was when attacking the basket, his game was complete.
Rivals.com ranks Hairston No. 6 on the Rivals150 list and the best shooting guard in the class of 2004.
