Hairston Close To Making A Decision

With the April 14 late signing date fast approaching, Malik Hairston has spent the last few days talking with family and friends about his upcoming decision. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard/small forward from Renaissance High School in Detroit, MI., was schedule to conduct in-home visits with several coaches’ earlier this week, but decide to cancel the visits in-order to concentrate on making a final decision about his future.
“Several coaches’ had planned to come to our home for a visit, but we thought it would be best to talk about Malik’s decision as a family,” Richard Hairston, the father of Malik Hairston said. “Along with my wife and me, several people close to our family have also been involved in our discussions. My son has not made a decision about a school yet, but we hope to have that done very soon.

“A number of schools tried to get Malik to officially visit their campus, but that’s something he wasn’t interested in,” he added. “We just need to keep talking as a family and come to a decision about this. The late signing period is almost here, so we don’t have much time.”
It is believed that Hairston will ultimately make a decision between Kansas, Michigan and UCLA. The No. 7 ranked player on the Rivals150 list has officially visit Kansas and UCLA, but has unofficially visited Michigan on a number of occasions.
