Guy decides Virginia is it

THE RIVALS150: 2015 | 2016
Four-star 2016 shooting guard Kyle Guy committed to Virginia two days after what turned out to be a convincing visit to Charlottesville. Guy had not planned on committing until at the end of this year or early next year.

"But then I went to Virginia and just fell in love with it, Coach [Tony] Bennett, and what they are about," said Guy, who is ranked No. 60 overall nationally. "I just knew and got the feeling that it was the right place for me."
The 6-foot-2 Indianapolis Lawrenceville Central junior arrived in Charlottesville on Thursday and stayed until Saturday morning. It was Saturday morning when he realized he wanted to play at Virginia.
"On Thursday and Friday, I knew I really liked it. Then on Saturday morning, we went on the court and I went eight out of eight on three-pointers and I just thought it was a sign. It was just a fantastic visit."
While on the visit, Guy spent a lot of time around the Virginia players and coaches, and watched them practice a couple times.
"I hung out mostly with Anthony Gill and Isaiah Wilkins. Isaiah is really cool. He's a character. They have a really good team. They are going to have a good year."
Before committing, Guy had reeled in offers from Butler, California, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Purdue and Xavier. He joins Rivals150 PG Ty Jerome in Virginia's 2016 class.
