Guerrero, Snipes both pick Hilltoppers

Make no mistake about it, Ken McDonald and his staff at Western Kentucky have been putting some work this fall. Already in possession of commitments from a trio of three-star prospects, including the nations #135 player in 2011, the Hilltoppers added commitments from Cezar Guerrero and Nigel Snipes on Friday night.
The 61st ranked player nationally in the class of 2011, Guerrero is recruiting coup for the 'Toppers. The six footer from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco is very quick, a clever scorer and puts constant pressure on defenders.

"I think the style of play and the fact he looks to contribute immediately," said Guerrero's summer coach Dinos Trigonis of Belmont Shore. "He has a chance to play a lot as a freshman and they did the best job recruiting him and making him feel like family."
Nearly minutes after securing Guerrero's pledge, Snipes became the fourth three-star to verbal to Western Kentucky. The athletic small forward from Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler will join Guerrero, Derrick Gordon, Deng Leek and George Fant to make up one of the strongest recruiting classes in the country for a mid-major.
The strength of the recruiting class was certainly helpful with Guerrero.
"The recruiting class that they put together is a good one," said Trigonis. "That really helped too."
