Green will ink with A-Sun school

One of the newest Division I programs landed a good-looking player late in the game on Monday. Georgia center Ladaris Green committed to Kennesaw State after making a visit to the Atlantic Sun school over the weekend.
One of the few good big men left in the Southeast, Green had a few options after finishing his senior year at Savannah (Ga.) Beach High School. One was spending a year at prep school and then attending Louisville. Green said one of the attractive things about Kennesaw State was early playing time.

"I want to be out there as soon as possible," Green said. "Some schools wanted me to redshirt. Some wanted me to go to a prep school. I wanted to be on the floor right here, right now and play with the best players at the school I went to. I want to contribute.
He shouldn't have any problems with that for the Owls. Green is fine shot-blocker that keeps himself out of foul trouble. He's a strong interior defender that still needs to bulk up his frame.
Green visited Kennesaw State over the weekend and he said he connected with head coach Tony Ingle.
"Coach sounds like he really looks after his players, those that are playing for him and those that have played for him," Green said. "He really seemed like he wanted me to be there and help them next year."
