Green Choses The Saints

Joel Green, a 6-7, 190-pound forward from Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia, made a commitment yesterday to the Siena Saints, according to Hargrave head coach Mike Preston.

Green, who hails from the city of Philadelphia, can eventually make it as a small forward on the college level, according to Preston. "For most of his high school career he has played the four (power forward slot)," Preston said. "But I think he can play the three too if he continues to work on his perimeter game. If he is successful in doing that, he could play that position at Siena."

Last year Green was being recruited by Rider, Central Florida and East Tennessee State. "He is athletic," Preston said. "We will use him at both forward slots this upcoming season."

Green will have to be ready soon. Hargrave travels to Oak Hill Academy for a scrimmage on October 22nd and then will face Mount Zion Christian Academy on November 1st.
