Grant Keeps Options Open

Gavin Grant, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound versatile guard/forward from St. Raymond's High School in New York City, still considers his recruiting process "open."
Grant, who can handle the ball as a guard and be physical enough to play the forward position, rarely receives a bunch of publicity. He's just a winner. "I want to win no matter where I go," Grant said. "That's the most important thing to me."

Grant recently competed at the ABCD camp and also at this past weekend's Three Stripes tournament in Neptune, New Jersey. He plays for the New York Ravens AAU program and will be with his team in Las Vegas next week.
There are several schools taking a serious look at Grant. "I am interested in NC State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Kentucky, Villanova, Louisville, Georgetown, Iowa State, and Connecticut," Grant said. "I just have to see how the summer goes before seeing who is really interested."
Grant said he is still open to other schools trying to get involved in his recruiting process. "I have already visited Pittsburgh," Grant said. "It was a nice visit. I got a chance to meet the players and the coaches."
Gavin said he expects to take more visits in the Fall before deciding. "I hope to sign in November," he stated.
