Gordon: Tennessee on Top, Kentucky in the Mix

2005 prospect Jamont Gordon has Tennessee at the top of his list after his unofficial visit to Knoxville last weekend, while Kentucky is the latest high major to begin recruiting the 6-foot-4, 215-pound shooting guard.
“Jamont had a real good visit,” said Steve Wright, Jamont’s coach at Glencliff High School in Nashville, Tennessee. “My wife and I drove him up there. We watched the game, and he met the players and coaches.”

“He really enjoyed the visit, but I told him that he needs to take some more visits. Kentucky called about him today. They have been calling, but we had trouble connecting the last week or so. But he is really comfortable with Tennessee. They have really good people there, and it would be a good place for him to be. They have already offered a scholarship, and they are number one on his list right now.”
Arkansas and Oklahoma have been showing a lot of interest lately in the No. 25 player in the Rivals75 for the class of 2005. Kansas assistant Norm Roberts made a trip to Nashville last week to watch Gordon practice, but the practice was cancelled due to snow.
The super athletic Gordon is averaging over 28 points on the season and is a triple double threat every time he steps on the court. He has led Glencliff to a 17-4 record on the year.
