Gordon Names a New Top Three

Jamont Gordon, the No. 9 ranked player in the class of 2005, is settling into his role with the Tennessee Travelers. With his performances improving over the last two tournaments, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound shooting guard has now received five new offers in the last week and plans on taking a couple visits this summer.
“Alabama, Mississippi, Memphis, Florida, and Texas have offered lately,” said Gordon. “Texas came in earlier today and offered a scholarship. Memphis was just in with a scholarship offer too.”

Gordon has a top three of Tennessee, Alabama, and Memphis, but it is not Tennessee at the moment that is the top school.
“Right now I like Memphis,” he said. “I like what they told me about the school, and I like Coach Calapari. They play my style of play, a real fast one.”
Gordon, who has already taken an unofficial visit to Tennessee, said he planned on taking visits this summer to both Memphis and Alabama.
Goron’s play gradually improved at the Boo Williams Invitational Tournament as the point guard for the Travelers, and the same was true for his time at Kingwood. The word among the coaching circle about his last game at Kingwood on Saturday night was that he had around 30 points and 15 rebounds.
The Travelers next national event will be at New Orleans for the Nike Memorial Classic.
