Gordon Klaiber Qualifies

Gordon Klaiber, a 6-7 1/2, 194 pound combination forward from National Christian Academy in Ft. Washington, Md., recently achieved a qualifying test score.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com caught up with Klaiber's former high school coach, Glenn Farello, at this past weekend's Hoop Group/Converse Jam Fest in Providence, R.I.

Farello, who was coaching Klaiber and the PG Select squad at the Jam Fest, told Rivalshoops that Gordon scored an 820 on the nose on his most recent SAT exam. Farello said that as long as Klaiber earns a B grade in one core course at National Christian, he should get through the NCAA Clearinghouse.
George Mason, St. Joseph's and Drexel are among the schools who have been in touch with Farello regarding Klaiber throughout the past year, while Morgan State and Rider have contacted Gordon directly.
Farello, who has coached DePaul recruit Delonte Holland (a sophomore at Vincennes J.C. in Indiana) and St. Joe's freshman guard Dalonte West at Roosevelt in the past few years, said Klaiber is open on schools.
Klaiber played for Head Coach Trevor Brown this past season at National Christian. He has impressed IR at the past two Charlie Weber Tournaments playing for Farello's PG Select squad.
Two years ago, he helped lead PG Select to the championship game of the fall Weber, where it lost to the TOPPS program of South Carolina. Last September, he and Boston College signee Louis Hinnant were key cogs in PG Select's deep run into the Elite 8 of the Weber Tourney.
A very mobile player with face up skills, Klaiber has yet to fill out his frame, and he could be a late steal for the right Division I program this spring. We'll keep you posted on his situation, so stay tuned.
