Gordon Klaiber Is A Sleeper To Watch

Gordon Klaiber, a highly skilled 6-8, 190 pound combination forward from Eleanor Roosevelt H.S. in Greenbelt, Md., was one of the top sleepers to emerge at this past weekend's Charlie Weber Invitational Tournament.
Klaiber, who combines the size of a big forward with the skills of a small forward, helped lead PG Select into the quarterfinal round of the Weber. Although he will need to get stronger, Klaiber demonstrated that he can put the basketball on the floor, shoot reliably out to midrange and also help out on the glass.

According to Roosevelt Head Coach Glenn Farello, Klaiber is not eligible to play this season at the high school level. Even though he played only three years of high school ball, Klaiber is entering his fifth year of high school at Roosevelt.
Klaiber told the Insiders Report that he is being recruited by South Carolina, Delaware, Towson, Canisius and Loyola (MD). He has not received any scholarship offers yet and is leaning toward signing late.
As a junior last year at Roosevelt, Klaiber averaged seven points, four rebounds and three blocks per game. He said he has a 2.35 GPA but has yet to take the SAT exam. He will take it on Oct. 13 for the first time.
Klaiber is the younger brother of former UConn player Antric.
IR will keep you posted on Klaiber in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
