Marlon Pompey, a bouncy 6-8 power forward from the Winchendon School in Winchendon, Mass., recently received a qualifying SAT score.

Rivalshoops.com bumped into Winchendon Head Coach Mike Byrnes at the recent Basketball Hall of Fame H.S. Invitational in Springfield, Mass., where his Green Wave squad knocked off a pesky Northfield Mount Hermon club.

Byrnes said that Pompey broke the 820 barrier on the SAT and is only awaiting certification now from the NCAA Clearinghouse.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Pompey played at Heritage Christian H.S. in Cleveland, Tex., prior to transferring into Winchendon this year. A good rebounder and active presence around the basket, Pompey should vie for minutes in the Aggie frontcourt next winter.
