Brent Petway, a long and athletic 6-8, 195 pound combination forward from Griffin H.S. in Griffin, Ga., committed to Michigan, according to sources in the Big Ten.
He was also considering several other schools but he always maintained that Michigan was the school to beat.

Petway had already taken an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor earlier this summer, and came away impressed with the Big 10 program. It's why the Wolverines won this battle.
Georgetown, Virginia, Georgia, Florida State, UConn, and Syracuse were also being considered by Petway.
A full academic qualifier, Petway has scored a 940 on the SAT, but he wants to break 1,000 and will take the exam again in October.
