Gonner Keyed Pair of Hutch Wins

Josh Gonner, a 6-2, 175 pound sophomore shooting guard from Hutchinson C.C. in Hutchinson, Kan., hit some big shots as the Blue Dragons won a pair of games at the Jayhawk Shootout in Coffeyville.
Gonner was particularly clutch in Hutch's 71-65 victory over Johnson County C.C. back on Dec. 7. He knocked down five of nine three pointers, many during the last four minutes as the Blue Dragons erased a late nine point deficit to pull out the victory.

Gonner finished with 23 points in the win, and helped to cultivate more Division I recruiting interest in the process.
Gonner told Rivalshoops.com that he visited Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the fall, and is also hearing from Southeast Missouri State and South Alabama this winter.
Gonner's older brother Dainmon signed last spring with SEMO.
Blessed with good quickness and a fleet first step, Gonner can create his own shot off the dribble. But he's equally effective as a catch and shoot threat from beyond the arc, as he often spots up in the corners for long distance opportunities.
Gonner's shot selection isn't always crisp, but he has a knack for making big shots at critical junctures of games, just as he did against Johnson County.
Look for Gonner's list to grow this winter, and Rivalshoops.com will keep you abreast of any new additions to his school list. Stay tuned!
