Glen Davis Nearing A Decision

Glen "Big Baby" Davis is just about ready to make an announcement about his future. The 6-foot-8, 345-pound power forward from University Lab High School in Baton Rouge, LA., will likely make his college destination be known during a press conference at his high school. Davis will more than likely make this announcement during the first day of his senior year, which happens to be August 25.
“LSU, Indiana, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia and Miami-Florida are the schools I’m interested in,” Davis said. “The reports about me giving a commitment to LSU are false. That is definitely bad information that somebody is reporting.

“I plan to announce my decision during the first or second day of school,” he added. “The press conference will take place in my high school gym. I have no plans of taking any official visits. My decision will be made on the 25th or 26th of August.”
It’s believed that Davis is a lock to attend LSU, and many people would be surprised if he ended up elsewhere, but he claims that no decision has been made as of yet.
“LSU is a school that I definitely like, but I haven’t made a decision about where I will attend college,” Davis said. “I like LSU because of the coaching staff, the family atmosphere and there is an opportunity for me to play in front of my family.
“North Carolina is a great school and Coach Williams is a great man,” he added. “He knows how to coach and he has developed some great players over the years. North Carolina is just a great program.
“I’m interested in Indiana because of head coach Mike Davis. Again, he is a great guy and Indiana is a great program with a lot of tradition,” he added.
Davis indicated that there are no favorites at this time. If LSU is the overall leader for his services, he is doing a great job of keeping that quiet.
Rivals.com ranks Davis No. 4 on the Rivals150 list and the third best power forward in the class of 2004.
