A rising senior from Manvel (Texas) High, the 6-foot-6 small forward has had himself a strong spring and has put himself into contention for the 2014 Rivals150.
"I think I've played pretty well," Gilmore told Rivals.com. "I just had to get used to playing with a lot of different people where everybody is talented. So I just had to step my game up and play harder."
Gimore has good size, is a good athlete and specializes in finding ways to be productive, even if he isn't the main feature of an offense. He can play with physicality and has a great motor.
"I attack the boards," he said. "Shoot the ball pretty well, play defense, play hard all the time no matter what."
The productive spring outing has led to increased college attention for the three-star Texan and he says he's been racking up offers.
"The hardest (going after him) is Nebraska, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State," he said. "I've been on and off with Baylor, Texas, Houston and Creighton."
To date, Gilmore hasn't looked to seriously into his recruitment. However, he would like to start the process of getting some visits in so that he can move his decision as far along has he has his game.
"This summer I'm going to take some officials," said Gilmore. "I've taken one unofficial to Texas A&M but I'm going to start taking some officials."
