Gibsons top five

One of the more impressive prospects in the class of 2006 Taj Gibson has a number of schools vying for his services. The rangy 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward from Brooklyn, N.Y., but prepping at Stoneridge High School in Calif., presently has a top five.
"My top five is USC, Texas, Louisville, Pittsburgh and South Florida," said Gibson, the No. 32 ranked player in the Rivals150. "I'm also considering St. John's, Northeastern, Florida, Arizona and Connecticut."
Already having visited St. John's and Connecticut unofficially, Gibson will set up his official visits when he starts school in September.
Looking for early playing time, Gibson has a 3.5 GPA but has yet to take the ACT or SAT.
Taj Gibson scouting report:
A tremendous defender and shot blocker, Gibson is an athletic forward working to develop the skills of a small forward. Runs the floor very well and has a nose for the ball. Gaining strength will be important for the next level of play.
