Georgia wing cuts down list

There probably isn't a player in any class who has done a better job of investigating his options than Brannen Greene. Now, he's closing in on a decision.
The #35 ranked player in the class of 2013, Greene has already made several campus visits -- he'll be in Lawrence, Kan. this weekend to see Kansas -- and he's made his first cut to nine schools.

Surviving the cut are Connecticut,Florida, Florida State, Harvard, Kansas, Louisville, Memphis, Ohio State and Providence.
According to the 6-foot-7 small forward from Forsyth (Ga.) Mary Persons, the time was right to cut his list down.
"Too many phone calls and visits," Greene told Rivals.com. "I really just want to start focusing on those particular schools."
Now that his list is cut, expect a decision to come sooner than later. Greene isn't looking to drag things out and hopes to have a decision by early 2012 at the latest.
"I'm looking to decide by the end of December," said Greene. "But, it may end up being early January."
