Georgia twins make their pick

It doesn't hurt one quality player commits to a mid-major program. It doesn't hurt when you add two on the same day. Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern twins Collin Reddick and Charlie Reddick verbally committed Furman on Thursday night.
According to the Reddick's AAU coach Ryan Falker the twins are off the board. Throughout the recruiting process, the twins weren't sure they wanted to play at different programs.

"In the past they said they wanted to go their own separate ways but when the rubber hit the road, they didn't want to be separated," Falker said. "They were able to find a place where they both could play but also get a great education like they can get at Furman."
The academic edge the Paladins offered was the selling point, Falker said. Colgate, Harvard, Penn, SMU, South Florida, TCU and Tennessee Tech were also in the picture.
"Both guys have a chance to have a $50,000 scholarship to go to school and get a great education," Falker said. "It didn't hurt that their family could come and see them play. The proximity combined with the academics sold them."
Collin is a big bodied 6-foot-9 center that excels as a shot-blocker and rebounder. Charlie is a 6-foot-4 defensive stopper on the wing.
