Georgia Hoops profile: Bo Amusa

The second stage of recruiting for the class of 2007 is quickly beginning. If players aren't visiting, they are committing. If they aren't doing either, they are patiently waiting. Georgia wing Bo Amusa is waiting and his time is quickly approaching.
Amusa is a classic late bloomer. He said he has grown five inches since his sophomore season. He rarely played as a junior on varsity. But opportunity is knocking and Amusa is answering.

The 6-foot-5, 175-pound small forward was the top senior at last week's Georgia Hoops Fall Showcase and he is quietly becoming a name that programs are trying to get more information on as the basketball season quickly approaches.
"I think I did really good there and then I played really good (at a camp the following week)," Amusa said.
He is taking advantage of each opportunity. Since moving to Georgia from Queens, New York, Amusa said he has stayed in the gym, fine tuning his game and staying in the weight room.
Amusa said Furman has recently called the school and asked for a transcript but other than that, things on the recruiting front have been quieter than he would like. That should change. Amusa has a game that will be well suited at the mid-major level. He said he would like to hear from Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Fresno State, Indiana State, Georgia State, Charleston Southern and Rutgers.
"I want to go to a place with good academics and somewhere that I can go and play," Amusa said. "I don't just want to go and fill a scholarship."
