Georgia guard is Big South bound

Tovi Bailey, an athletic 6-foot-1 combo guard from Villa Rica (Ga.) High School, verbally committed to Charleston Southern on Wednesday.
The two-star guard visited the Big South school earlier in the week and decided to take his game to the Palmetto State.

"I felt like it was the perfect fit," Bailey said. "It was too perfect to pass it. The decision was there for me to take it and I did.
"I felt at home when I was there with all of the players and the coaches and the school. It seemed like a normal atmosphere that I'm used to."
Bailey averaged 25 points, eight assists and seven rebounds a game as a senior at Villa Rica. The athletic guard has a great first step and a game that will be well suited at the Big South level.
"They said they wanted me to come in as a scoring point guard next year and then move to the two the year after," Bailey said. "They said they see me as a scoring point guard that can set the team up."
Bailey said he also considered Jacksonville. Bailey is the 40th player from Georgia to commit to a Division I school in the class of 2007.
